Vitebsk to host innovative business forum on 17-18 November

Representatives of six countries will participate in the second international forum on innovative business in Vitebsk Oblast "From Small to Great" which will be held in the regional center on 17-18 November, Irina Makarenko, director of the Vitebsk regional center for marketing research, told a press conference, BelTA has learned.

The forum will be attended by representatives of small, medium-sized and big business, the executive and legislative authorities, business support centers, associations of entrepreneurs of Belarus, Russia, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, and China. The international b2b matchmaking session will bring together businessmen from Belarus, Russia's Bryansk, Pskov and Smolensk regions, and also from Poland, Latvia, and Lithuania. Vitebsk expects to welcome representatives of the Pomeranian Voivodeship administration, energy, resource conservation and logistics experts from Poland; representatives of the Latgale regional development agency of Latvia; the Kalvarija city administration, experts in sustainable development of territories from Lithuania; senior representatives of the University of Economics, consulting companies, infrastructure managers from Smolensk, representatives of the support innovative enterprises and businessmen in IT from Bryansk.

The forum will offer several panel discussions such as State and financial support for businesses; Fair competition is key to success; Entrepreneurship and innovative business ideas in agriculture; Best practices in investment cooperation as part of innovative projects; and others. Plans have been made to sign several agreements during the forum including the agreement on the establishment of a foreign Chinese enterprise to provide healthcare services.

The second international forum on innovative business in Vitebsk Oblast "From Good to Great" will be held under the auspices of the Global Entrepreneurship Week. The organizers of the forum are the Vitebsk Oblast Executive Committee, Vitebsk City Hall, Vitebsk regional centre for marketing research.
