Ambassador: Pakistan-Belarus relations have developed into multifaceted partnership

Pakistan and Belarus enjoy friendly bilateral relations, which have developed apace to become a multifaceted partnership over a relatively short span of time, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in the Republic of Belarus Sajjad Haider Khan said at the opening ceremony of the exhibition titled “Contemporary Art of Pakistan”, which is being held in collaboration with the National Library of Belarus as part of Independence Day of Pakistan celebrations, BelTA has learned. 

“Pakistan and Belarus enjoy friendly bilateral relations, which have developed apace to become a multifaceted partnership over a relatively short span of time,” the ambassador said. “For further strengthening these ties, both the countries have increasingly endeavored to rev up cooperation, with particular focus on building synergies in the domains of industry, agriculture, education, health and pharmaceuticals and science and technology.” 

In addition to regular exchanges of business delegations and participation in exhibitions in each other countries, in year 2021, we were able to hold 2 sessions of Pak-Belarus Joint Business Council and three meetings of Joint Working Groups, the ambassador noted. 

“I am glad to share that cultural and educational cooperation has been of particular focus of late. Just in 2021, we have successfully held four exhibitions of Pakistan's arts and culture in different cities of Belarus. In this regard, I would like to acknowledge with gratitude the wholehearted cooperation extended to us by our Belarusian friends,” Ambassador Sajjad Haider Khan said.
