Belarus-Uzbekistan cooperation seen as promising
Cooperation between Belarus and Uzbekistan has huge opportunities, Chairperson of the Council of the Republic Natalya Kochanova said during a meeting to discuss the second Belarus-Uzbekistan Women's Business Forum, BelTA has learned.
Belarus and Uzbekistan are actively developing mutually beneficial cooperation. "We are interested in cooperation with Uzbekistan. The year before last, we held a meeting of the CIS Inter-Parliamentary Assembly there. I want to say that this is a very interesting country, the opportunities are huge. Relations between our peoples are good, friendly. The basis for this is the good relationship between the leaders of the two countries. We must approach the forum in the most efficient way and in an organized manner, because we do not have much time left," Natalya Kochanova said.
The second Belarus-Uzbekistan Women's Business Forum will be held in Tashkent on 26 and 27 August. "The forum will be co-located with our official visit to this country," the speaker emphasized. “The first forum was successful. When we meet at other international venues and exchange views, we see that women entrepreneurs meet and work directly. They keep in touch. They are working, building the relations and developing cooperation."
"Uzbekistan is thoroughly preparing for the forum. On the first day, the forum will run six sections. On the second day we will gather for the plenary session," Natalya Kochanova added.
