Children's song contest among highlights of second day of Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk festival
A junior song contest, theatrical events, the first solo concert and many other cultural activities will be held at the international arts festival Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk on 10 July, BelTA learned from the directorate of the festival.
The events of the second day of the festival will start at 11:00 when the outcomes of the international dance project Dream Dance Fest will be reviewed in the press center of the festival. The winner of the dance contest was named the day before. This year the Grand Prix went to the dance ensemble Carousel from Minsk. The award ceremony for the winner took place on the stage of the Summer Amphitheater on 9 July.
The presentation of the exhibition “Vladimir Mulyavin. The legacy of the great maestro” will begin at noon. The National History Museum of Belarus will open its exposition at the Vitebsk Regional Local Lore Museum.
People's Artist of Russia Oleg Gazmanov will take part in the Star Hours program at 13:00 and give a solo concert at 20:00. The composer, poet, artist and producer will perform new songs and his legendary hits at the Vitebsk Concert Hall.
The International Children's Song Contest will kick off at 14:00 on 10 July. On the first day of the competition the contestants will perform at the Vitebsk Concert Hall accompanied by the Mikhail Finberg National Academic Concert Orchestra of Belarus. The drawing of lots was held a day before. Young Belarusian hopeful Zlata Yaroshevich will perform the eight in the first show and seventh in the second show next day.
The art museum will host a presentation of the exhibition of watercolors “Living Stories” by Vera Stanishevskaya from Estonia at 14:00. The press center will host a meeting with Burito at 15:00, and a presentation of Viktoria Aleshko’s Real Gold album at 18:00.
Rock music lovers are invited to attend a rock concert that will start at the Summer Amphitheater at 18:30. The lineup will feature the Gorshenev project, Skynet, Cosa Nostra, Motor-Roller, a tribute to the Scorpions, Alexander Yelovskikh and others. The artists of the Rock Panorama concert will perform their songs accompanied by the symphony orchestra of the Belteleradiocompany.
Theatrical events will start at 19:00 with a premiere of Hamlet at the Yakub Kolas National Academic Drama Theater. By the way, the year 2024 marks the 460th anniversary of the birth of William Shakespeare. The spectacular Rhythms of Summer show near the Vitebsk Concert Hall will wrap up the program of the second day of the festival. The show will star Burito, Filatov & Karas, Artem Kacher and others.
The 33rd edition of the international arts festival Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk is running on 9-15 July. The festival will officially open on 11 July and close on 14 July. The program of the festival features many exciting events and activities.
