Why do Dazhynki awardees appear on stage without outerwear?
Why do awardees come on stage without outerwear to get their awards during the Dazhynki harvest festival? Vitebsk Oblast Governor Aleksandr Subbotin answered this question in an interview to the First News TV channel, BelTA has learned.
At the recent Dazhynki harvest festival in Polotsk, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko traditionally awarded the best agricultural workers. Many probably noticed that the awardees appeared on stage without outerwear although the weather is almost wintry. Aleksandr Subbotin provided his explanation.
“It is probably more convenient and easier to pin a medal,” Aleksandr Subbotin said with a smile.
