Belarus’ GDP up 3.6% in January

MINSK, 14 February (BelTA) – In January 2012 the gross domestic product of Belarus increased by 3.6% in comparable prices as against January 2011 to a total of Br34.327 trillion, BelTA learnt from the National Statistics Committee. In accordance with the socio-economic development forecast for 2012, the GDP growth is expected to make up 5-5.5% as against 2011. In January 2012 the industrial production went up by 6.6% to a total of Br48.471 trillion (the annual forecast is 6-7%). The share of shipped innovative products accounted for 14.6% of the total output, which was above the annual target of 13.5-14.5%.
