Lukashenko: Higher salaries for harder work

BYKHOV DISTRICT, 26 April (BelTA) – Salaries will be raised in Belarus to match the growth of labor productivity, said President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko while talking to workers of the Bykhov Canned Vegetables Factory on 26 April. “If you turn out more products, you will sell more products, you will get more money and hence higher salaries. Nobody is going to give the money one hasn’t earned to anyone. We will not print money to pay salaries either,” said Alexander Lukashenko. He encouraged everyone to think for themselves about ways to make money. “If aid of the state is required, it will be provided,” said Alexander Lukashenko. Asked why he had chosen to visit Bykhov District, the President said he would like to see the way people live there, how the production sector is being revived. Alexander Lukashenko said he had seen the effectiveness of revived lands. “I am very glad we have revived this beautiful land and are getting over the Chernobyl syndrome little by little,” said the head of state.
