Personal exhibition of BelTA press photographer Sergei Kholodilin opens today in France

A personal exhibition of BelTA press photographer Sergei Kholodilin “After Chernobyl” opens today in the exhibition gallery Pierre Laporte in the city of Clermont-Ferrand, France.

The exposition showcases about 80 photos taken by Sergei Kholodilin within 20 years after the Chernobyl catastrophe. They reflect pain and sorrow of the Belarusians who had to leave their native lands after the catastrophe, mitigation of the consequences of the catastrophe and modern life in the contaminated regions of Gomel oblast.

The exhibition was organized by the foreign relations mission of Clermont-Ferrand, the twin-town of Gomel, and is timed to the 21st anniversary of the Chernobyl catastrophe.
