Russian Government to consider Belarusian-Russian agreement on equal rights of citizens to freedom of movement

The agreement between the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation on the equal rights of citizens of the two states to freedom of movement, choice of the place of stay and residence on the territory of the Union State was submitted for approval of the Russian Government, Konstantin Romodanovsky, director of the Federal Migration Service of Russia, told reporters on January 29. In line with the agreement citizens of Belarus and Russian may stay on the territory of the two states without registration during 30 days. The Belarusian parliament ratified the document in June 2006. According to Konstantin Romodanovsky, Belarus and Russia successfully settle migration issues as they are building the Union State. “We come to Belarus and feel like at home. The Belarusians feel the same in Russia,” Konstantin Romodanovsky underlined.
