This year marks a jubilee – 15 years of friendship between the "Kind Meetings" club for people with disabilities of the Lepel District Territorial Center for Social Services and the "Romashka" club of the city library from Balakhna, Nizhny Novgorod region.

These two clubs have maintained close ties throughout these years, exchanging experience, knowledge, and cultural traditions.

As part of the joint project "Local Lore Uniting Countries," a teleconference was held at the Social Rehabilitation and Habilitation Department for Persons with Disabilities, which became a significant event for the participants. The residents of Lepel organised a master class for their friends from Russia on preparing the traditional Lepel dish – "kletski z dushami."

  Maria Stankevich, a tourism specialist from the "Lepel" Tourist Information Center, also conducted an engaging quiz for all participants, adding even more interactivity and fun to the programme.

  We remind you that December in Belarus has been declared the month of gastronomic tourism, making this event particularly relevant. Participants not only learned to prepare a new dish but also had the opportunity to discuss the gastronomic traditions of both countries, exchange recipes, and ideas for future meetings.
