“I know what I’m doing. I’m not a child!” – a popular phrase among avid smokers when it comes to this harmful habit.
“I know what I’m doing. I’m not a child!” – a popular phrase among avid smokers when it comes to this harmful habit. It would not be so tragic if statistics did not say the opposite: most fires with fatalities occur due to careless handling of fire while smoking. And the culprits are these very “all-knowing” adults.
To draw attention to the problem of fires and fatalities due to careless handling of fire while smoking, an event called “Don’t Burn Out Your Life!” will be held in the district from November 1 to November 30.
The event activities are divided into 3 stages. The first stage will last from November 1 to November 12. Its venues will be the work collectives of industrial and agricultural enterprises, other organizations, as well as at scrap material collection points. Participants of the event will be shown the statistical profile of a fire fatality victim and thematic films in a dialogue format. To make the interaction interactive, they will be invited to participate in quiz games on the topics of life safety, the harm of smoking, fires caused by smoking, etc.
The second stage of the event will take place from November 15 to November 25. Students of educational institutions of the district, as well as persons abusing alcoholic beverages, will take part in it. For example, college students will be told about the consequences of smoking and given the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge in this area through talent and intellectual abilities in games and quizzes, KVN (a Russian comedy competition), mini-skit contests, open dialogues, themed discos, and much more. Such forms of work will allow young students to get answers to all their questions about life safety.
Activities for persons abusing alcoholic beverages will be held at the day care department. The meetings will consist of a preventive talk with the viewing of thematic films and practical exercises on themed platforms. To consolidate the acquired knowledge, participants will be given visual aids.
The final stage will take place from November 26 to November 30 in places of mass gathering of people, rural councils, and other open areas. Participants of the event will be invited to the program “Show without
"Cigarettes", will be invited to participate in the photo session "I don't smoke in bed" and will be presented with visual aids.Don't stay aside – join the campaign. It will be interesting!
