On 13 and 14 May, the Traffic Police Department of the Lepel District Department of Internal Affairs will conduct the preventive event "Safe Region".

The objectives of the event will be the prevention of road traffic accidents involving pedestrians and cyclists; the reduction of the severity of consequences resulting from road traffic accidents caused by drivers of motor transport, persons without driving licenses, as well as those in a state of intoxication; the popularization of the use of retroreflective elements and high-visibility vests during dark hours.

Settlements and roads will be patrolled using overt, covert, and mixed control methods.
