On June 13, as part of the International Level Crossing Safety Day, the State Automobile Inspectorate of Lepel District, together with representatives of Belarusian Railway enterprises, will conduct preventive measures aimed at preventing road traffic accidents caused by violations of railway crossing rules.

During the events, traffic police officers will organise targeted raids to prevent, detect, and suppress violations of railway crossing rules.

It should be remembered that when approaching a railway crossing, it is necessary to ensure that there is no approaching railway transport and to be guided by the requirements of road signs, traffic lights, road markings, the position of the barrier, audible signals, and the instructions of the duty officer.

It is also prohibited to enter a crossing when the barrier is closed or beginning to close, or when the traffic light signal is prohibitory.

The State Automobile Inspectorate reminds you! For violation of railway crossing rules, administrative liability is provided for under Article 18.10 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Republic of Belarus in the form of a fine ranging from 2 to 4 base units.

Stay safe! Remember that a railway crossing is one of the most complex and dangerous sections of the road, requiring focused attention and strict adherence to the Traffic Rules.
