On February 3, Minsk /BelTA correspondent/. Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has decided to declare 2011 the Year of Entrepreneurship. The Head of State signed the corresponding decree on February 3, BelTA was informed by the press service of the Belarusian leader.
The current year marks the beginning of a new five-year plan and is designed to give new impetus to the country's development. If at the previous stages of the development of modern Belarusian society the main focus was on the revival and preservation of Belarus's economic potential, then today society faces a much larger task – to make a decisive leap forward in all industries and spheres of activity in order to reach the level of advanced European countries.
The main driving force of this leap is entrepreneurship, activity and initiative. Now, representatives of any profession are required not just to be performers acting according to a template, but true masters of their own destiny, creative and energetic people, the press service noted.
The declaration of the Year of Entrepreneurship emphasizes Belarus's significant achievements in creating favorable conditions for the development of business activity and symbolizes the aspirations of the Belarusian state for the future, focusing on the priority support of people of action.
The Year of Entrepreneurship will contribute to the creation of a new image of the Belarusian economy, the unleashing of business activity and initiative, the formation of an atmosphere of healthy competition, favorable conditions for the introduction of new technologies in all spheres, and the improvement of citizens' well-being and quality of life.-0-
