The logo for the Year of Belarusian Women was unanimously chosen from over 100 submissions.

The Belarusian Women's Union initiated a competition to create a logo shortly after the head of state announced the theme for 2026.

"We wanted to see how girls and women envision this logo, how they represent it. Each could draw their own version based on intuition and feelings. We didn't set any parameters. We believed that Belarusian women themselves should propose a symbol for the current year," said Olga Shpilevskaya, Chairperson of the "Belarusian Women's Union" public association.

The competition was held among all regional, united, and primary organisations of the Belarusian Women's Union. Participants submitted over 100 different versions. Many works showed a unified style: many proposed reflecting the image, the face of a woman, in the logo. The interpretations were completely different.

The winner of the competition was Evgenia Pogranichnaya, the leader of the youth wing of the Volkovysk District Organisation of the Belarusian Women's Union. She is a photographer who has previously presented several personal photo exhibitions. She enjoys photographing families and women.

According to Olga Shpilevskaya, the choice in favour of Evgenia Pogranichnaya's work was unanimous. "Everyone agreed that this option has it all: the country's symbolism – red and green colours, an ornament, and the cornflower – a symbol of Belarus and the Belarusian Women's Union, and, of course, the image of a Belarusian woman, which conveys lightness and strength, kindness and beauty", explained the chairperson of the Belarusian Women's Union.
