The number of crimes in this area for the current period of 2025 in Lepel district amounted to 51 cases.

These figures were announced at a meeting between the head of the district, Mikhail Kiselevich, and the staff of LODЭ Pension LLC.

The Chairman of the Lepel District Executive Committee, together with the Head of the Department of Ideological Work and Youth Affairs of the District Executive Committee, Svetlana Shevelyova, visited the residents of Lepel as part of the Unified Information Day. The topic of the meeting was "Cybersecurity and Prevention of Cybercrime".

Mikhail Kiselevich is confident that the internet brings not only convenience and opportunities, but also new threats. It has firmly entered our lives, and today it is impossible to imagine existence without this universal tool. But along with convenience and boundless opportunities, it brings new threats to which we must learn to adapt.

To combat cyber threats at an individual level, it is necessary to increase the digital literacy of the population. It is important: in telephone conversations, do not trust strangers, no matter who they claim to be, if you are not expecting such a call. Cybersecurity is the responsibility of each of us. It starts with simple things like choosing a strong password for your home email. It is important to remember that the same password should not be used simultaneously for work email, for registration on various websites and in messengers, the head of the district noted.

The meeting traditionally continued with a question-and-answer session with the staff. The locals were concerned about issues of housing and communal services, road repairs, trade services, and street lighting.

At the end of the meeting, Mikhail Leonidovich thanked the staff for their quality work in tourism, noting: "The famous LODЭ Pension is the highlight of the Lepel district!"

By the way, about 60 people currently work at the LODЭ Pension. The team is led by a young and proactive manager, Alexander Alexandrovich.
