On March 22, commemorative events and ceremonies of laying flowers by the public were held in the Lepel region at the memorials and monuments of settlements that shared the fate of Khatyn.

Thus, dozens of Lepel residents gathered in the village of Kistelyovo, where a mass grave of victims of fascism is located on the site of a village destroyed by the Nazis.

Here stands a stele in the form of a roof of a destroyed hut. Nearby is a weeping willow. On the other side is an alley of old linden and maple trees. And a little further away is a manually piled hill, under which the ashes of the fallen residents rest. There are three dozen names on the memorial plaque.

The memorial site brought together representatives of the district authorities, law enforcement agencies, the prosecutor's office, public associations and organizations, students, youth, work collectives, and other concerned citizens...
