Inexperienced riding of two-wheeled motor vehicles and driver inattentiveness lead to road traffic accidents involving motor transport.

Since the beginning of 2020, 1 road traffic accident has been registered in the Vitebsk region, caused by the fault of a two-wheeled vehicle driver. It occurred on March 6 in the village of Gurets, Chashniksky district. A 31-year-old driver, while at the wheel of a "MMVZ" motorcycle, lost control on a road bend, resulting in a collision with a power line pole. It should be noted that the young man was intoxicated at the time of the accident and did not possess a driving licence at all. The motorcyclist sustained bodily injuries and was hospitalised.

Maintaining road safety is the responsibility of every road user. Motorcycle drivers must remember that they must travel only in protective gear and a fastened protective helmet. But above all, it is necessary to master driving skills in various road conditions, observe speed limits, manoeuvring rules, and not forget to be extremely attentive and cautious. As sad experience shows, the slightest loss of vigilance can result in a road traffic accident with severe consequences. Before making a turn, U-turn, or any other manoeuvre, a motorist must ensure that there is no motorcyclist in the same direction of travel and activate the turn signals.
