Since its inception to the present day, the prosecutor's office has traversed a glorious path of dedicated service to law and justice. Through their activities, the employees of the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Belarus ensure the unity and supremacy of law, exercise protection of human rights and freedoms, and the interests of society. They counter crime and corruption, and ensure the inevitability of punishment for criminal acts. Today, true professionals, who conscientiously and honestly perform their duties, work in the prosecutor's offices of the Vitebsk region.
The solemn event, held at the Vitebsk Regional Philharmonic Hall on June 24, 2017, was attended by A.G. Poznyak, Aide to the President of the Republic of Belarus for the Vitebsk Region; G.I. Grebnev, First Deputy Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee; V.V. Terentyev, Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Council of Deputies; G.I. Dysko, Deputy Prosecutor General of the Republic of Belarus; heads of law enforcement agencies, authorities and administrations, other state institutions and organizations, educational institutions, and enterprises.
Gennady Iosifovich Dysko, Deputy Prosecutor General of the Republic of Belarus, congratulated all prosecutor's office employees and veterans on their professional holiday, wishing them happiness, well-being, and strong health for many years to come, and presented state awards to the prosecutors.
The medal "For Impeccable Service" of the II degree was awarded to V.I. Guk, Deputy Regional Prosecutor, and E.A. Lapkovsky, Head of the Department for Combating Corruption and Organised Crime; the medal "For Impeccable Service" of the III degree was awarded to Yu.Yu. Ambros, Deputy Head of the Department for Supervision of Preliminary Investigations; V.V. Rudenkov, Senior Assistant Regional Prosecutor for Supervision of Operational-Investigative Activities; V.M. Vasiliev, Senior Prosecutor of the Department for Supervision of Legislation Enforcement of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Belarus for the Vitebsk Region; A.M. Sashchko, Senior Prosecutor of the Department for Supervision of Legislation Enforcement of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Belarus for the Vitebsk Region; Yu.S. The Prosecutor General of the Republic of Belarus, A.V. Konuk, awarded the badge "Honorary Worker of the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Belarus" to V.V. Sushchinsky, Prosecutor of Vitebsk Region, and P.V. Dedyuro, Orsha Transport Prosecutor. The Honorary Certificate of the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Belarus was awarded to N.V. Fedorenko, Deputy Head of the Department for Supervision of Legislation Enforcement of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Belarus for Vitebsk Region. I.N. Bogachev, Head of the Organizational and Control Department, received a valuable gift. A commendation was announced to E.V. Babenkov, Prosecutor of Chashniki District, and A.A. Starchenko, Deputy Prosecutor of Dubrovno District.
In his speech, V.V. Sushchinsky, Prosecutor of Vitebsk Region, thanked all employees of the prosecutor's offices for their conscientious attitude towards the performance of their official duties and expressed special gratitude to the veterans of the prosecutor's offices for their difficult dedicated work and their constant readiness to help young employees in mastering the challenging prosecutor's craft.
