To prevent road traffic accidents with severe consequences, on June 28, 2019, a Unified Road Safety Day is held under the slogan "Got in the car – fasten your seatbelt!"

To prevent road traffic accidents with severe consequences, on June 28, 2019, a Unified Road Safety Day is held under the slogan "Got in the car – fasten your seatbelt!" (promoting the use of seat belts and child restraint systems).

In addition to preventing road traffic accidents, the campaign promotes the use of seat belts and child restraint systems.

The State Automobile Inspectorate reminds that for the non-use of a child restraint system in cases where it is mandatory, administrative liability is provided for under Part 5 of Article 18.14 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Republic of Belarus and entails a warning or a fine of up to four base units. In case of repeated non-use of a child restraint system within one year after the imposition of an administrative penalty for the same violation, the driver will be brought to administrative responsibility under Part 12 of Article 18.14 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Republic of Belarus in the form of a fine from two to eight base units.
