Dear residents of Lepel district, veterans of the Great Patriotic War and labour!
Please accept our sincere congratulations on the Day of the Liberation of the Lepel region from the Nazi invaders.
The great day when the enemy was driven from our native land is receding further and further into the past. The years of the Great Patriotic War were the bloodiest and most heroic in the district's history. Hundreds of glorious sons and daughters laid down their lives on the battlefields, perished in camps, in Nazi captivity, from hunger and disease. But the heroism and resilience they displayed were duly appreciated by the Motherland.
The feat of post-war recovery of the national economy was equal to the combat feat. Over the post-war decades, Lepel district has transformed into a beautiful district centre. And this became possible thanks to the labour of our veterans.
Through the joint efforts of workers from all sectors of the national economy complex, the progressive development of the economy and the social sphere is ensured. This once again proves that our strength lies in unity and devotion to our small homeland.
