Dear motorists! Do not forget about increased safety measures on unpredictable winter roads, choose a safe speed considering the road surface condition, increase the distance and side interval, avoid any sudden movements or maneuvers. Do not forget to fasten your seatbelts. Remember that children under 12 years of age must be transported using child restraint systems. Be extremely attentive when passing pedestrian crossings.

Dear pedestrians! Cross the roadway only in designated areas, ensuring that drivers have had time to stop (pedestrians should remember that a vehicle on a slippery road may sometimes not have the technical capability to stop in time). During darkness, be sure to mark yourself with retroreflective elements.

The State Automobile Inspectorate (GAI) reminds you: administrative liability is provided for traffic violations by drivers and pedestrians. For violating the rules of passing a pedestrian crossing, a driver faces a fine of 1 to 5 base units. Repeat offenses within a year are subject to this violation.

For failure to use a child restraint system when required, a fine of up to 4 base units is provided. In case of a repeated offense within a year, a fine of 2 to 8 base units is imposed.

For violating traffic regulations regarding the use of retroreflective elements, a pedestrian is subject to administrative liability in the form of a warning or a fine ranging from 1 to 3 base units. The same actions committed by an intoxicated pedestrian entail a fine of 3 to 5 base units.
