June 6 marks the start of the republican campaign "Holidays without Smoke and Fire".

The republican campaign of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) "Holidays without Smoke and Fire" has become a good tradition during the period of children's summer recreation. Its main goal is to prevent fires caused by children's carelessness with fire, as well as to prevent child fatalities and injuries.

Its main goal is to prevent fires caused by children's carelessness with fire, as well as to prevent child fatalities and injuries.

Throughout the three summer months, rescuers will be teaching children and adults safety rules in school-based and summer health camps, enriching participants' leisure time with a variety of modern, engaging, and simultaneously useful educational activities, including online formats.

"MES-LAND," the "Young Rescuers' School" game, themed theatrical performances, quizzes, online safety quizzes, master classes, excursions to fire and rescue stations, and many other diverse events will allow children to showcase their erudition and ingenuity, demonstrate their creative potential, test their strength and endurance, and most importantly – learn, revise, and reinforce life safety rules.

In addition, as part of the campaign, training on fire safety rules will be provided to employees of children's health and school-based camps, including duty personnel. Thematic videos and animated films from the MES will be shown, and visual educational materials will be distributed.

Activists of the Belarusian Youth Public Association of Rescuers-Firefighters, representatives of the OSOVOD (All-Union Society for the Rescue of Persons on Water), and others will assist MES propagandists in conducting the campaign's events. After all, preserving the life and health of children is a common goal for all adults!

Such events are necessary, on the one hand, to repeatedly draw adults' attention to the vulnerability and defenselessness of children, and on the other hand, to teach children safety rules. The joint efforts of rescuers, educators, and parents will help children spend their holidays safely, filling their summer days with bright events, in which there will be no place for emergencies.
