Road Maintenance Department No. 37 of RUP "Vitebskavtodor" maintains 452 kilometers of roads. The work collective ensures the preservation of these transport routes and roadside service facilities (bus stops, road signs, etc.), and carries out various repair works. Six linear road divisions have been established, three of which operate within the Lepel district, and the other three in Chashniki, Ushachi, and Begoml. 117 people are employed at RMD-37.

Over nine months, road maintenance works amounted to 7.5 billion rubles, and current repairs amounted to 2 billion rubles. Surface treatment of the road surface with the arrangement and leveling of asphalt concrete layers was carried out on 32 kilometers of roads. Pothole repair was performed on all assigned roads, roadside infrastructure was equipped, and so on. In addition, services were provided to external organizations using own transport for 342 million rubles, works were performed by own forces for non-core customers for 29 million rubles, and paid transport services to the public amounted to 7.5 million rubles. The average monthly salary is 1536 thousand rubles, which is one-third higher than last year's level. Net profit amounted to 106 million rubles. Profitability reached 3.7 percent.

Preparations for the winter period are underway. The procurement of sand-salt mixture is in progress. Approximately 5.5 thousand tons of sand alone have been accumulated. The unit for removing stones from sand is operating efficiently.

The 24-hour dispatch service receives real-time data from all road measurement stations (air and road surface temperature, wind direction, precipitation and its intensity, etc.) located throughout the republic every 50-70 kilometers. One of these stations is located at the entrance to Lepel. This allows for timely preparation of personnel and equipment, for example, when heavy snowfall or other extreme weather events are approaching, and minimizes their negative impact on road traffic safety.
