The opening of a hemodialysis unit at the healthcare institution “Lepel Central District Hospital” has become a significant event for local residents. In the Lepel district and neighboring areas, there are people with chronic kidney diseases who require hemodialysis three times a week. Now, patients can undergo this procedure with ease at any convenient time and in comfortable conditions.

The unit serves residents of Lepel, Chashniki, and Novolukoml.
All hemodialysis program drugs are very expensive. Last year, another German-made apparatus was purchased for the unit. The medical staff of the unit underwent training at the Department of the Belarusian Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education. Engineers and nurses received training at the nephrology department of the Vitebsk Regional Clinical Hospital. The staff of this department provides necessary consultations and performs surgical manipulations when needed.
In addition to hemodialysis procedures, patients are under dispensary observation.
