Belarusian farmers have threshed 3 million tonnes of grain. This was reported to BELTA by the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food.
"According to operational data as of August 4, 3106 thousand tonnes of grain, including rapeseed, have been threshed from the country's grain fields," the press service stated.
Contribution to the total harvest from each region: Vitebsk - 215 thousand tonnes, Mogilev - 332 thousand tonnes, Gomel - 380 thousand tonnes, Minsk - 602 thousand tonnes, Grodno - 687 thousand tonnes, Brest - 890 thousand tonnes.
Cereal and leguminous crops, excluding maize, buckwheat, and millet, have been harvested from 30% of the areas, amounting to 603 thousand hectares.
The harvesting of winter barley is nearing completion (97% of the areas have been threshed). 943 thousand tonnes have been obtained with a yield of 39.6 centners per hectare, which is 7.3 centners per hectare higher than last year.
Flax has been pulled from 20 thousand hectares - 42% of the planned areas; second-cut grasses have been mown from an area of 840 thousand hectares (over 78% of the plan); 295 thousand tonnes of hay have been procured (41% of the plan), and 11,098 thousand tonnes of silage (almost 80% of the plan), including 318 thousand tonnes in polymer packaging.
3362 thousand tonnes of fodder grasses have been procured (33% of the plan).
