An agricultural enterprise in Dokshitsky district stored mineral fertilizers in free access for wild animals, BelTA was informed by the press secretary of the State Inspectorate for the Protection of Fauna and Flora under the President of Belarus, Olga Gromovich. Employees of the Begoml Inter-district Inspectorate for the Protection of Fauna and Flora drew up an administrative report on the chief agronomist of one of the agricultural enterprises in Dokshitsky district. "At the instruction of this manager, several tens of kilograms of mineral fertilizers were transported and dumped in a pile in a field located in close proximity to a forest in the Shumilino tract. The fertilizers were in free access for wild animals, which are known to like to feast on salt. This could have led to the illness and even death of the animals," the State Inspectorate reported. Inspectors have ordered the enterprise's employees to cover the minerals with film, and the chief agronomist faces a fine of up to 30 base units (one base unit is currently equal to Br100 thousand). The State Inspectorate noted that this case has no relation to the mass death of deer in one of the enclosures of the Dokshitsky hunting farm. The investigation of the case is ongoing. Blood and stomach contents of the deer were taken for examination. Employees of the Dokshitsky District Department of Internal Affairs and veterinarians are also investigating the origin of blue spots found on the snow in the enclosure where the animals were kept.
