Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Aleksandr Kosinets has demanded that enterprises in the region reduce warehouse stocks and recover accounts receivable. He stated this today at a joint meeting of the presidium of the Vitebsk Regional Council of Deputies and the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, a BELTA correspondent reports. Total stocks of finished products in enterprise warehouses are estimated at Br1 trillion. "Despite this being one of the lowest indicators in the republic, it represents frozen working capital," Aleksandr Kosinets emphasized. He demanded that urgent measures be taken to sell warehouse stocks. Of particular concern are the stocks of enterprises subordinate to the Ministry of Industry and the "Bellegprom" concern. By order of the chairman of the regional executive committee, an inventory of products held in warehouses will be conducted in the coming days. The chairman of the regional executive committee also named the recovery of overdue accounts receivable as a priority task for enterprises. It is estimated at Br869 billion.
