The republican campaign "Clean Water Body" is launching in Belarus, as reported to BELTA by Olga Dmitrieva, press secretary of the RGOO "Belarusian Society of Hunters and Fishermen".

The campaign will run until May 4. "The goal of the event is not so much to collect garbage on the shores of lakes, rivers, and reservoirs, but to demonstrate that we must preserve nature together to leave it for future generations. To participate in the campaign, it is sufficient to contact the district organizational structure of the BOHF at your place of residence, where you will be informed about the location and time of its holding, as well as provided with everything necessary. You can also independently come to your favorite recreation spots and clean up the garbage from a section of the shoreline," said Olga Dmitrieva.

The BOHF has been conducting the "Clean Water Body" campaign since 2014. During this time, BOHF employees, together with representatives of various organizations and other participants of the campaign, have cleaned up over 3,000 km of the shoreline of water bodies and watercourses. More than 25,000 people participated in the campaign, and about 4,000 cubic meters of garbage were removed.
