As part of the first stage of the republican campaign "Youth for Safety", Lepel rescuers, together with activists of the district branch of the BYPAO, visited residential buildings inhabited by lonely and single elderly citizens. Ministry of Emergency Situations employees, together with young rescuers, provided feasible assistance to categorized citizens in cleaning the adjacent territory, preparing firewood, and also conducted preventive conversations with homeowners on observing fire safety rules, paid attention to the fire safety condition of the households, and explained the operating principle of autonomous fire detectors. Examples of positive activations of autonomous fire detectors were given. In six households, detectors with a light and sound device connected to the outside were installed. As a keepsake, rescuers and the young people presented the residents with visual informational materials, as well as recommendations for reducing the risk of fire.
