December 30, Begoml / Diana Kurilo – BELTA/. The republican charity event "Our Children" unites people. This point of view was expressed today to journalists by the Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus, Vladimir Andreichenko, after visiting the Begoml boarding school for orphans and children left without parental care, BELTA correspondent reports. "It is good that such events as "Our Children" are held in Belarus. We, Slavs, may not always have been strong economically, but we have always been strong in supporting the weak, coming to their aid in difficult times. It is important that such events are held in Belarus, they unite people. And when we are together, we are capable of overcoming any difficult life situation. When we reach an agreement, wisdom always prevails," noted Vladimir Andreichenko. Vladimir Andreichenko admitted that when visiting orphanages, he experiences a mixed feeling: bitterness that these children are deprived of family warmth and parental affection, and on the other hand, he is pleased that great attention is paid to the younger generation in Belarus. The Chairman of the House of Representatives congratulated the pupils and teachers of the boarding school on the New Year holidays and presented them with gifts on behalf of the President of the Republic of Belarus – fabulously beautiful chests with sweets. On behalf of the parliament deputies, the children received a computer with a printer. The district authorities presented them with a television. The boarding school pupils, together with their teachers, prepared a costumed performance for the guests and presented them with handmade souvenirs. There are 107 pupils in the Begoml boarding school, 30 of whom are children with disabilities.-0-
