As practice shows, fires most often occur in residential buildings, with careless handling of fire while smoking being the predominant cause. To prevent such incidents and remind citizens of the consequences of this harmful habit, Lepel rescuers, as part of the republican campaign "Don't burn your life away!", organised interactive platforms at the railway and bus stations, as well as at the "Khit" and "Santa" shops in the city of Lepel.
Representatives of the rescue service held preventive talks with passengers and shoppers, striving to maximally draw people's attention to life safety issues, explained the goals and objectives of the campaign, the tragic consequences that careless smoking can lead to, and also clarified safety requirements in everyday life.
– Make sure that a extinguished cigarette is not only not burning, but also not smouldering. Do not endanger yourself and those who live near you. And to detect a fire in time and avoid a blaze, install an autonomous fire alarm in your home, – recommended the propaganda inspector.
Residents of the Lepel district not only spent their time interestingly but also usefully. They learned many new facts about smoking and were once again convinced that this harmful habit is dangerous and detrimental to health.
