Raising children is a very difficult and responsible process, which every parent understands and acknowledges. However, in everyday life, adults often turn a blind eye to certain aspects of upbringing, do not take them seriously enough, make allowances for their child, and take a break for themselves.

To draw adults' attention to the problem of child injuries and fatalities from fires due to leaving them unattended, a preventive campaign "Focus on Children!" will be held in two stages in Lepel district from August 19 to September 13.
Thus, from August 19 to August 30, in shopping centres and other retail outlets specialising in goods for preschool and school-aged children, rescuers will remind parents about the dangers of leaving children unattended and advise on how to protect their families from emergencies.
Educational institutions will become the venues for the second stage of the campaign, which will run from September 2 to September 13. In schools, rescuers will conduct "Safety Lessons" for junior pupils, provide fire safety briefings for teachers, and hold preventive talks with parents, including screenings of thematic videos.
Dear parents: teach your child safe behaviour rules every day. Use unconventional methods for this: play with them, show educational cartoons and videos, and use examples from fairy tales.
And, of course, be an example for your children: if you always turn off electrical appliances when leaving home, your child will do the same. Children follow actions, not advice, so observe safety rules together! When it comes to young children, there is only one piece of advice – do not leave them unattended, even for a few minutes.
