The Belarusian Republican Youth Union's campaign "We Choose a Student Work Team!" will launch in Belarus on April 1, the second secretary of the Central Committee of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union, coordinator of the student work team movement, Sergey Klishevich, told a BELTA correspondent.

"During the campaign, the BRSM headquarters will not only inform potential participants of the movement about employment opportunities during the third labour semester of 2016 but also create a database of those wishing to find employment, which allows matching incoming employment requests with available vacancies and competently forming student work teams," Sergey Klishevich said.

Events will be held weekly from April to July at the labour affairs headquarters of the primary organisations of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union in higher education institutions, secondary vocational and professional-technical education institutions, as well as in territorial student work team headquarters.

The Republican Headquarters of Student Work Teams, with the support of interested parties, plans to employ at least 70,000 young people in student work teams in 2016. About 400 of them will be involved in the All-Belarusian Youth Construction Project and regional (Minsk City) youth construction projects.

In 2015, about 71,000 people were employed in 3,836 student work teams of various profiles. Student work teams were involved in the reconstruction and construction of roads, schools and kindergartens, sports complexes, and residential buildings throughout the republic, harvested crops, and worked as counsellors in children's health resorts.
