The "Belarus Against Smoking" Campaign in the Lepel Region

Borovskaya Secondary School asserts that smoking is a thing of the past. The school is actively combating this detrimental habit. All classes have held unified information sessions on the topics "No to Tobacco!", "Extend Your Life", "Smoking – A Cause of Cancer", etc. A competition of school agitation brigades was dedicated to a healthy lifestyle. Renowned athletes, footballer Gennady Tukhto and decathlete Sergey Novikov, were invited for discussions on the harm of smoking. The school has been declared a smoke-free zone.
The latest exhibitions and competitions at Zaslonovskaya Secondary School were dedicated to a healthy lifestyle. Children drew pictures and posters about bad habits to get rid of them. Pupils from grades 5-11 participated in the competitions. A competition of school agitation brigades, held by year groups, was dedicated to the issues of alcoholism, tobacco smoking, etc. In Zaslonovo, the "Belarus Against Smoking" campaign was met with a track and field relay race, with pupils from middle and senior school grades participating. Thematic class hours and a documentary screening were held on the topic of a healthy lifestyle.

The final weeks of the academic year at Secondary School No. 3 will also be filled with events. All of them will take place within the framework of the campaign. The fight against cigarettes will continue during thematic class hours. Senior pupils will watch the documentary film "Prevention of Tobacco Smoking, Alcoholism and Drug Addiction". Younger pupils will learn about this topic through cartoons. Information sessions are planned in the form of conferences, "round tables", etc. Traditionally, the school annually invites doctor Zoya Kurso for a preventive talk with the children. Trainings with a psychologist, discussions with parents, preventive advice, and "Direct Line with Mom" are also dedicated to promoting a healthy lifestyle. The culmination of the campaign will be the sports festival "Health Day".

Breaks between classes at the state vocational lyceum are not wasted. A multimedia installation has been set up in the foyer to provide students with necessary information. These days, the lyceum is showing short five-minute videos that warn against bad habits and promote a healthy lifestyle. A new video is shown during each break.

Under the auspices of the BRSM, the lyceum is holding the "We Exchange a Cigarette for a Candy" campaign. And at the end of the month, they plan to invite a number of schools from the district to the sports festival "Active Movement Against Smoking". Teenagers will participate in competitions in various sports. Thematic class hours and a disco are also dedicated to the anti-nicotine theme.
