This was announced by the director of the publishing house, Tatyana Belova, in response to a question from a BELTA correspondent. "The decision to reissue the Radziwill album is currently being made at the level of the Ministry of Information. It is due to the fact that this rare edition has itself become a rarity," said Tatyana Belova. "Radziwill. Album of Portraits of the 18th-19th Centuries", which launched the "Encyclopedia of Rarities" series (founded in 2010), reproduces a unique monument of Belarusian culture - the Radziwill album of the 18th century. The book became a laureate of the President of the Republic of Belarus Prize "For Spiritual Revival" in 2010 and the Grand Prix winner of the VIII International Competition "The Art of the Book" of the CIS member states. Its print run was 2,000 copies. It is planned that the repeated edition of the album will be released with the same print run. The album of portraits of the Radziwills was presented today at the V.I. Lenin Vitebsk Regional Library to the general public as part of the "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk" International Arts Festival. Employees of the "Petrus Brovka Belarusian Encyclopedia" publishing house also presented other publications of this series: the photo album of facsimile watercolour sketches "Dmitry Strukov. Album of Drawings. 1864-1867" (2011), which won the Grand Prix of the IX International Competition "The Art of the Book" of the CIS member states; the third album "Living Faith. Vetka", released in February 2012, which received a first-degree diploma in the "Commonwealth" nomination at the IX International Competition "The Art of the Book" of the CIS member states, as well as a new project dedicated to the 1150th anniversary of Belarusian statehood, "Polotsk. 1150". "The print run of the last edition was 2,500 copies. In fact, 1,500 have already gone to the Vitebsk region, and the remaining thousand will go to libraries and the country's retail network," noted Tatyana Belova. "With each book, each rarity, we are creating an encyclopedia of our history, because Belarus has something to tell about, it has a great history of a great people," emphasised the director of the publishing house at the presentation.-0-
