On April 14, during his official visit to Algeria, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, Sergei Aleinik, was received by the President of that country, Abdelmadjid Tebboune. This was reported to BELTA by the press service of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry.
A message from the President of the Republic of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, with specific proposals for the development of bilateral cooperation was conveyed to the head of the Algerian state.
The parties noted the constructive nature of Belarusian-Algerian relations and the convergence of the two countries' positions on most current international issues, including the recognition of diverse development paths for independent states.
A range of bilateral cooperation topics and industrial and technical cooperation projects were discussed. The issue of interaction in the fields of education, science, technology, healthcare, and tourism was addressed separately. The need for further intensification of the entire spectrum of contacts, including exchanges of visits at the highest and high levels, was particularly emphasized.
