During a personal reception of citizens held today in Vitebsk, the Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee, Aleksandr Subbotin, discussed important issues concerning housing and communal services.

Among the issues raised at the meeting were the registration of a land plot, the commissioning of a pond in Vitebsk District, and violations of consumer rights in the provision of services for the maintenance and repair of the intercom system in a residential building in Novopolotsk.

“Receiving citizens is a sufficiently effective mechanism,” noted Aleksandr Subbotin. “With its help, certain problems are identified, gaps in legislation are discovered, and we see where the system is failing. Sometimes, the initiatives that citizens bring help to improve the legislative framework and increase the efficiency of the entire system.”

The head of the region also emphasized that there is another side to the coin.

“Some people come to the reception dozens of times with the same issue,” the head of the region stressed. “We explain the algorithm of action to them, but they are not always ready to listen, using the reception as a way to express themselves. Finding a balance between usefulness and dependency is not an easy task. However, if at least one person can be helped as a result of such receptions, then it is not in vain.”
