The significance of the city of Belarusian oil workers for the country is understood not only by its residents, young and old, but also by representatives of all branches of government. The industrial center, where one of the leading flagships of the petrochemical industry of Belarus operates, makes a significant contribution to the economy of both the Vitebsk region and the entire state. Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Alexander Subbotin, addressing the residents of Novopolotsk at a festive ceremony, noted that this city knows how to achieve a lot, to embody the boldest ideas, and all large and small cities of the region should follow this example. "This city is an innovator, a hard worker, an inspirer. You are actively modernizing enterprises, carrying out technological re-equipment, implementing cluster initiatives, developing new types of products, expanding sales markets, healing, teaching, and building new residential areas. You succeed in everything and always. It was here that the first huge oil refinery was built, and the best school for petrochemistry and oil product refining appeared. I would like to wish that in Novopolotsk the words "first" and "best" are heard more often and are inextricably linked with this city," the head of the region wished the celebrants.
