We are ready to compete on equal terms with colleagues from other regions, – said Yuri Zablotsky. — Today, we are capable of harvesting as much timber as needed. We strive to keep pace with the times, improving the quality of this process and, consequently, incomes.

The meeting was attended by Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee Alexander Subbotin and Minister of Forestry of Belarus Vitaly Drozhzha. The distinguished guests emphasized that 2021 was a successful year for the forestry enterprises of the Vitebsk region. They achieved a lot, but should not relax in order to continue moving forward. To this end, existing reserves must be utilized.

— The foresters of the region have managed to prove, primarily to themselves, that they are capable of serious achievements, – reported Vitaly Drozhzha. — It was particularly pleasing that in their activities they focused on attracting investments and ensured a steady increase in wages, thus looking to the future with confidence. They regularly have new investment projects, the timber processing process is deepening, including the implementation of production facilities that use waste from sawing – sawdust, edgings, and offcuts.
