9 December, Minsk /Tatyana Polozhay - BELTA/. The Belarusian Republican Youth Union should become a source of ideas not only for youth but for the entire country. This was stated by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, speaking at the 41st Congress of the BRSM in Minsk, as reported by a BELTA correspondent. The Head of State noted that he liked the youth project "100 Ideas for Belarus". "But this is only the first step, the main thing is to bring it all to life," he stressed. Alexander Lukashenko instructed the government and the Presidential Administration to implement all the best ideas of this project. The President noted that the state has financial resources for this. He also said that this project will be continued, but it must be truly the best proposals that will bring success to the state. Alexander Lukashenko believes that there is a lack of interesting and realistically feasible projects for rural youth. He proposed that they put forward initiatives themselves. The President set the task to develop a clearer system of interaction between the BRSM and the National Academy of Sciences and the State Committee on Science and Technology. In Alexander Lukashenko's opinion, it is necessary for the BRSM to be able to defend in state structures the ideas of all talents that have been found. "And if the projects are worthwhile, why can't they claim state support from the funds we allocate for science and inventions?" the Head of State noted. At the same time, he stressed that here, as everywhere else, there must be a clear approach. "Here is the idea, here is the business plan, here are the calculations. Here is the risk assessment (it is clear that a new idea always involves risk). And most importantly, here is the result for which one will have to be responsible," he said. Alexander Lukashenko also emphasized the need to do everything possible to ensure that no idea or project dies or goes abroad. He believes that the BRSM, as a youth organization, plays a significant role in this regard. "You must not only search for these ideas but also defend and push them through. Push them through the armor of bureaucratic indifference, perhaps, someone's misunderstanding, laziness or envy," the Head of State stressed. "This is precisely the ultimate goal of the BRSM, and not only in the sphere of science and technology. To stir up all the youth, find the best and most active, nominate and support them. To give society and the country not just ideas, but also those who are capable of implementing them," the President emphasized. -0-
