10 June, Minsk /Tatsiana Palazhay - BELTA/. Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko stated today at a meeting on the development of OJSC "Belaruskali" that he has not yet held any negotiations regarding the sale of this enterprise, a BELTA correspondent reports.
"Rumours have been spread that this enterprise has already been sold. I have not held any negotiations whatsoever regarding the sale of Belaruskali," said the Head of State.
"What is there to negotiate? The price has been named, the money is there – come and get it. What negotiations?" added Alexander Lukashenko.
According to the President, if a revaluation of the enterprise is necessary, "please do so – revalue it, but $30 billion – I have not rescinded this price yet."
"I emphasize once again: if you have the money – bring it, and tomorrow you will receive the shares. For the amount of money you bring, based on $30 billion, that's how many shares you will receive. I have no other opinion for now," stated the President.
Alexander Lukashenko also noted that a couple of buyers are already vocalizing this sum, meaning they are ready to pay $30 billion. "Well, that's good, let them come," he added.
The Head of State also noted that for $30 billion, at least three more enterprises like Belkali could be built using the latest technologies. And there would still be money left for the people. According to him, the raw material base is sufficient, however, actions here must be taken carefully so as not to collapse the price of potash fertilizers. -0-
