On October 29, Minsk / Vladimir Matveev - BELTA /. President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko stated that he would never allow himself to falsify elections. He made this statement while communicating with the residents of Brest during a walk through the central part of the city, as reported by a BELTA correspondent. "I have never falsified elections. I know that you elected me with a huge number of votes," said the head of state. Alexander Lukashenko emphasized that as the first President of Belarus, he "must ensure that it is impossible for subsequent presidents to do things incorrectly." "I must do everything correctly," said the head of state. "I will never allow myself to falsify elections," the President stressed again. According to him, "we have not done a lot, but we have done more than others." The head of state emphasized that he always tries to fulfill everything he has promised. "If the economy works better, you will be richer, and there will be pensions and salaries," said Alexander Lukashenko. Regarding the elections, Alexander Lukashenko stressed that in this matter, as always, the choice remains with the people. He noted that some of those who collected signatures to register as presidential candidates are now thinking about withdrawing their candidacies. "Why? People did not support them, they did not collect signatures. So what am I to do with it?" the head of state asked rhetorically. -0-
