10 December, Moscow /Tatyana Polezhay - BELTA/. President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has refuted rumours about deteriorating relations with his Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev. The head of the Belarusian state stated this to journalists today after the CSTO summit in Moscow, BELTA correspondent reports. "Medvedev and I haven't quarrelled," said Alexander Lukashenko. "I already said in Minsk: it's in vain that some people rub their hands behind the backs of the Presidents of Belarus and Russia, rejoicing. Just as unexpectedly as our relations deteriorated – so unexpectedly for many they are normalizing. We kept our word," noted Alexander Lukashenko. "It was a surprise for you, but not for us," he added. The President also emphasized that very intensive work was carried out to reach the agreements that were signed in Moscow on the eve. "Don't worry: even if we quarrel – we will find time to make up," assured Alexander Lukashenko. -0-
