On September 14, Minsk /Tatyana Polezhay - BELTA/. Belarus has always been and will be a reliable stronghold for Russia, and no politicians are destined to break these relations. This was stated today by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko at a meeting in Minsk with Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization Nikolai Bordyuzha, BELTA correspondent reports.
"I want you to understand: we were and will be a reliable stronghold, support, and outpost for the Russian people, as is customary in Russia. We have always been together and will be, and no politicians are destined to break our relations," said the head of state.
Alexander Lukashenko noted that "we are concerned about our relations with the main CSTO partner - the Russian Federation." "But, despite the fact that the Russian leadership has been constantly picking on us lately for various reasons, we are not fixated on it as much as some may think. We are quite adequately assessing what is happening," the President said.
Addressing the guest, Alexander Lukashenko remarked: "I want you not to think about this at all. I think these misunderstandings will be cleared up sooner or later."
The President particularly emphasized that Belarus will pursue its policy without excessive claims or attacks on its partners. "We need to create today, not destroy," he stressed. -0-
