Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has signed a decree under which preferential treatment for importers regarding the mandatory sale of part of their foreign currency earnings has been cancelled. He announced this today at a meeting on the socio-economic development of Belarus, as reported by a BELTA correspondent.
"In order to ensure the necessary volume of sales on the main session of the foreign exchange trading, I have signed a decree cancelling all preferential treatment for the mandatory sale of foreign currency," stated Alexander Lukashenko.
"All bank exchange offices, after the opening of an additional session, are obliged to conduct free sales of foreign currency at the market rate," emphasized the Belarusian leader.-0-
