On May 22, Grodno / Vladimir Matveev - BELTA /. President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko positively assesses the results of the recently concluded election campaign for the 26th convocation of local Councils of Deputies. He stated this today at a meeting with the asset of the Grodno region, as reported by a BELTA correspondent. "It was as open, democratic, and transparent as possible. In the Grodno region, the elections also generally proceeded calmly and with dignity," said the head of state, emphasizing that people expect effective work and commitment from their elected representatives. According to the head of state, the elections once again demonstrated that "chatterboxes and idlers have no place among the deputies." People voted for those who are guided not by personal ambitions or private political interests, but by the needs of their constituents. The main task of local councils is skillful and constant work with people, emphasized Alexander Lukashenko. It is necessary to monitor the situation, and promptly provide effective assistance to people in solving their professional, social, and domestic problems. In addition, the President is convinced that the success of local Councils of Deputies at all levels largely depends on how productive and meaningful their interaction will be with all branches of government, public associations, and work collectives. Alexander Lukashenko demanded decisive work from the councils in protecting the rights and legitimate interests of people. At the same time, the head of state suggested that if necessary or if problems arise, they should be brought directly to him. "Do not contact me for trivial matters, but if you see that a person's fate and rights are being trampled upon, contact me, it is your duty. You must primarily deal with this," said the President of Belarus.-0-
