I am, of course, satisfied that a turning point has already occurred after these political bacchanalias and actions of our so-called opposition, which intimidated the population through the media and the Internet, generating certain devaluation expectations," said the head of state. - It can already be said that the situation has been turning around for a week, and the National Bank has been buying currency for the last three days. This is a good sign for strengthening the Belarusian ruble, and this must be done." "Our national currency should not be excessively strong and firm, so as not to collapse exports, but we should not artificially weaken it to please some political moments. Therefore, the National Bank is pursuing an absolutely correct policy," the President noted. "We see that a turning point has already occurred among entrepreneurs. They are also beginning to trade at the National Bank's exchange rate and even lower," Alexander Lukashenko stated. "But I am not saying this to reassure. The point is that if success is outlined in some direction, in military terms, it must be developed. We need to focus on exports now, reduce accounts receivable, sell more, and stop all this talk: 'Oh dear! there is a crisis in the world'," the head of state emphasized. - There is no crisis yet, and we need to occupy the markets that are being freed up today for various reasons, and not give up our own." "We just need to work so that what happened at "Kommunarka" does not happen again. And we have enough such enterprises where we simply lose money to please some incomprehensible investors who live either in America, or in Russia, or somewhere else," the President remarked. "I want you to invite the ministers who are involved in material production and set a strict requirement for them. Otherwise, everyone will go like Danchenko, to manage bad loss-making enterprises," said Alexander Lukashenko.

"It is unacceptable that we are trying to maintain this exchange rate through some macroeconomic efforts. Everything lies in material production: produce, sell, get money on external markets. And then the situation will be normal. We need to consolidate the positive trends occurring in the foreign exchange market within material production. This is the main task of the National Bank and the government today," the Head of State instructed. As reported by Mikhail Myasnikovich, the economy as a whole is functioning stably. According to the results of the first nine months of the current year, the growth rate in industry was 107.7%, and in agriculture - 105%. The situation in the foreign exchange market has also stabilized. "The expectations of some who counted on the collapse of the Belarusian ruble have proven unfounded. And now the Belarusian ruble is strengthening," the Prime Minister noted. "The main thing is that deposits of individuals and legal entities in our banking system are growing - the increase over nine months amounted to Br31 trillion, including currencies. Of these, Br21 trillion are deposits of the population." During the meeting, issues of regional development were also touched upon. "We believe that the practice of basic districts in the regions has justified itself. The task is to bring all districts in each region to the level of basic ones within the next three years, taking into account a differentiated approach," said Mikhail Myasnikovich. At the same time, he specifically emphasized that to achieve the planned indicators, including in agriculture, it is necessary to actively develop all regions of the country: "We need to improve the base of districts that are somewhat in the shadows. Undoubtedly, large funds are also invested there, but the return is low." The President also approved the approach regarding the education system with a strong emphasis on practical training: to concentrate the entire chain, including lyceums, colleges, universities, research units, and production enterprises, within a single legal entity. The Head of State specifically drew attention to the need to intensify targeted recruitment issues starting from the new academic year, especially concerning personnel for the real sector of the economy. "Today, the prestige of the work of an engineer and a technologist has been somewhat lost. This is incorrect. If we are talking about scientific and technical progress and innovative development, in this situation, sufficiently trained personnel must be directed to the real sector, and their adaptation should begin from the school bench," noted Mikhail Myasnikovich. In addition, issues related to the fulfillment of the President's directive on assigning officials to problematic enterprises were considered. Attention was drawn to the need to ensure the development and transparency of financial schemes at enterprises with a high share of the non-state sector under strict state control. In general, Alexander Lukashenko sternly pointed out to the government the shortcomings in the sphere of material production, demanding that, without abandoning privatization and reforming property relations, all processes be transparent and understandable.
