President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has instructed to fully ensure the solvent demand of agricultural enterprises for machinery and to strengthen control over its storage and operation. He stated this today during a working trip to the Minsk Region, as reported by a BELTA correspondent. Addressing the governors, the head of state instructed them to form an order for modern agricultural machinery required by farms, based on their own financial capabilities, loans, and the volume of state support. At the same time, he demanded to fully load the capacities of enterprises producing agricultural machinery so that they ensure the fulfillment of these orders. "Let them work around the clock, but produce as much as you can buy," emphasized Alexander Lukashenko, noting that when ordering machinery, one should primarily proceed from one's own capabilities, without relying on excessive assistance from the state budget. Alexander Lukashenko was shown a new domestic forage harvester. Currently, two such machines have been assembled and tested, with a productivity comparable to the best world models. As reported to the head of state, the demand for such machinery is 500-600 units, and next year the enterprise can produce 50-60 such machines. The head of state demanded to increase this figure to 100 while simultaneously reducing the cost of the machines. In addition, the President demanded to strengthen control over the storage and operation conditions of agricultural machinery. "We need to strengthen iron control over the safety and operation of machinery," he said. At the same time, the head of state proposed to revive the procedure for putting agricultural machinery on standby at the end of the harvesting season, as it was during the Soviet Union.
