July 6, Shklov / Vladimir Matveev - BELTA/. When implementing foreign investment projects, the interests of Belarus must be impeccably observed. This was stated today by the Head of State Alexander Lukashenko, speaking with residents of Shklov, as reported by a BELTA correspondent.
In particular, it was discussed that several investment projects are being implemented in the district, including in agriculture. The Head of State confirmed that his position is unwavering - an investor working in Belarus must fulfill their obligations, and such cooperation must be mutually beneficial both for the investor themselves and for the state.
"Our interest must be impeccably observed," emphasized the Belarusian leader.
The President also actively inquired about the development of the manufacturing sector in the district, particularly paper production. According to local management, the newsprint paper mill is operating stably. The team at the Spartak paper mill is also successfully mastering its production capacities. The district plans to continue developing this area further.
The discussion also touched upon the production of agricultural products and their subsequent sale in domestic and foreign markets. "There is enough of everything now. We need to take it where there is demand and sell it at a higher price so that people have a normal salary," stressed Alexander Lukashenko.
As reported by the Governor of the Mogilev region, Petr Rudnik, the average salary in the region is currently over Br3.2 million. By the end of the year, it is planned to increase it to the equivalent of $500. In this regard, Alexander Lukashenko once again warned that salary increases must be accompanied by an increase in labor productivity and the profitability of enterprises. "There is no 'easy money', nobody will give you money from outside, let alone print it," noted the Belarusian leader.
Alexander Lukashenko actively inquired with local residents about the issues that concern them. Deviating from the planned program, Alexander Lukashenko walked along one of the central streets of Shklov, approaching and talking with people who had gathered near the reconstructed bridge. The Head of State also visited one of the local grocery stores, where he familiarized himself with the range of goods offered.
